Gracias, Honduras via Video

by Suz on May 24, 2010

I’ve been avoiding my blog and my computer in general because I don’t really feel like writing about Honduras.  Lazy? Possibly. Apathetic? I suppose.  Lucky for me, one of the surgical residents made a video about our trip, therefore absolving my guilt for being lazy and apathetic.

Gracias, Honduras: Part One

Gracias, Honduras: Part Two

Gracias, Honduras: Part Three

This is the PG rated version.  The beer pong, tippy cup, boxes of wine, and all the f-bombs have been edited out.  You can tell that the video was made by a surgeon and not anesthesia- we most definitely did not spend the whole time with our feet up.  While I didn’t really help making this at all, I did play a prominent part in the soundtrack.  So I think that counts for something.

Just because I think that a picture of me should be in this post, to prove that I did indeed GO to Honduras.  Although I’m wearing a mask, so really- I could still be lying and posting pictures of people I don’t even know.  Here is me working hard anesthetizing a patient.  Working hard while sitting is definitely possible. I promise.

Any questions about what you see- let me know. Maybe it will motivate me to write something.

oh jeese. Just getting to the part where they’re cutting people up. Dizzy and nauseous.

That’s the foot of the bed right? You sit back there and put a thermometer in the patients butt to make sure they’re not dead huh? Looks like hard work to me :)
