I actually did make it to Africa, and I actually will write about it…later. Right now I’m in the middle of graduating, studying for my boards, and preparing for the move back to Colorado.
These are all things you should be saying, “Yay!” about, except for the studying part.
In lieu of my usual nonsensical rambling, I leave you with a video that one of the guys made from our trip to Niger.
Yes, the kids really WERE that cute. I wanted to put them in my suitcase and bring them home with me. But, unlike Madonna, I didn’t steal a single one of them. You should be proud.
Thank you to all the very generous people who helped support this trip. I’d mention names, but I don’t want to embarrass any of you awesome people. It means more to me (and the kiddos), than I can say.
If you haven’t been to my new Facebook page–and you don’t hate puppies, go “Like” it.

I commend you for not stealing any kids and I look forward to the tales of anesthetic daring-do.
That is awesome! Thanks for sharing…it’s great to actually see you in action.
Awesome.

As I watched each child stare at his/her new reflection in the mirror, I realized that for each life — that day was a definitive turning point forever. Your team is to be commended.
What an experience!! To help make such a difference in someone’s life. And in Africa of all places.
I would love to eat crepes in France.
Someday……
Oh my word. Those faces are precious!

The shots of the kids looking at their new lips and smiles in the mirror melted my little heart. What an amazing project.

Oh my goodness–this video brought tears to my eyes. The little kids looking at their reflections….
God bless you guys.
You have inspired me to work toward my CRNA. This video is an example of why I want it so bad. Hope your move and boards and studying are going well. Can’t wait until the next post
Keep up the hard work- It’s totally worth it in the end!
